It’s time for another roundup of Cool Finds and Links I Love 🙂 :
Amy Schumer’s ad spoof for birth control is EVERYTHING. It’s 2017, people!!
Particularly enjoying Ipsy’s #NailedIt video series. Each video is about a minute long, and provides an easy-to-follow tutorial for cute nail art! Perfect for a little refresher in between my trips to The Retreat 🙂 I want to try this gold foil manicure soon!
Loved reading the story behind the June Motel in Prince Edward County (a few hours’ drive from Toronto). The gorgeous interiors are to die for – millennial pink heaven! These cool digs, and the beautiful rooms at the Drake Devonshire, have me dreaming of a getaway…
Are you over high heels? My answer? Never. A beautiful stiletto will always dominate my closet. But more and more lately, I’ve been reaching for chic flats or kitten heels. My Ferragamos have served me well, and I even bought 3-inch heels as part of my bridesmaid ensemble for my best friend’s wedding! There is something so elegant about finishing an ensemble with ballet flats or barely-there heels.
It’s no secret that I am OBSESSED with Wonder Woman. Maybe not to the point of getting the Lasso of Truth inked onto my bicep, but I’ve still been admiring all these pretty tattoos.
I mentioned before that I’ve been reading Grit by Angela Duckworth, and enjoying it immensely. If you don’t have time to read her book, watch her 6 minute TED Talk. Her journey of leaving a high-paying job in consulting to become a math teacher is inspiring, but her theory on GRIT is what will get you off the couch and chasing your dreams!
I loved Oursonette, a short story by Margaret Atwood published in the Globe and Mail on Canada Day to celebrate Canada 150. If you’ve got ten or fifteen minutes you should read it to yourself as a bedtime story 🙂
I am not a huge Instagram fan, but I do adore Dearly Bethany’s well-curated wardrobe snaps and flat-lays. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like minimalist style and capsule wardrobes!
Thanks so much for reading! xo
