Can we just take a moment to appreciate the wild, pink, flamboyant glitter explosion that is this pair of shoes? They may not be your cup of tea, but to me they are a life-giving elixir.
Azim had a physical reaction to them when I pulled them out of their packaging – I think he actually made the sign of the cross to ward off their imposing presence. What can I say? When it comes to shoes, I don’t mess around.
When I do decide to pick a pair of statement kicks, I like to pair them with a more subdued outfit. For this rendition I went with my trusty tweed jacket + A-Line skirt combo. I have a variety of these skirts in different colours and textures to get me through every season. It’s a flattering cut for my body type, and extremely easy to wear.
I also have a few tweed jackets. In addition to this cream one, I own both a black and multi-hued version. Some people may think tweed is too stuffy and old, but I think that these jackets look fresh when paired with a flirty skirt and bright accessories. And anyway, what’s wrong with looking like a grandma? Both my grandmas are awesome.
Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! I will be spending my time trying to find the perfect gift for Azim – his birthday is coming up AND Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! xox
