Born Ready

This was a Friday-night-after-work outfit, which required a quick change: I kept the bottom half of my outfit the same, but switched to a “statement” top, added earrings, and a red lip. Total time: 8 minutes... Well, probably more like 15 because it takes me forever to put lipstick on. Is there such a thing as an “effortless” red lip? I think not.And can we talk about that little girl on her bike, in the second picture? I grew up riding around a cul-de-sac in the suburbs of Carey, North Carolina. This girl is cruising down the alleys off College Street. City kids, guys. They are so cool.I scored this top on sale at Asos (size small and medium still available!). And these are my go-to pants; I call them Audrey Hepburn pants. They are perfectly tailored, and really comfortable. I wore them all day at work, and then out for dinner and fun times.I love these dramatic sunglasses by Karen Walker, and the lippie to top it off? Cruella, by NARS.
