Gift Guide 2017 - For Gents

Here's a secret - I find gift shopping for guys to be extremely easy...unless that guy is Azim. He already has everything he really needs (me), so I find adding to his collection of clothes, toys, and grooming essentials to be a nearly impossible task. He is also very picky.I've bought him numerous watches that rarely see the light of day (they are "special occasion" watches - his ugly, plastic, waterproof Swatch watch is what you'll find on his wrist everyday)!I knew he wanted a camel coat, so I searched high and low for the perfect one...only to have him declare that he preferred plaid.I bought him a slim wallet to replace his worn moneyclip/cardholder, only to find out that he really loves his old moneyclip/cardholder and didn't want it replaced. So yeah. Impossible. He'll also probably kill me for spilling his secrets :) Now, I ask him to deliberately drop hints to make my life easier. And we also put a lot more time, $, and effort into experiences we can share together...because really, I have everything I need as well (him), and we have the whole world to see.HOWEVER, for the simpler dudes in your life, here is a little gift guide ;)The Urban Whiskey Trail - Treat your bestie/S.O./brother/dad to an awesome whiskey-tasting tour in downtown Toronto! Here's a blurb:Think of it as a roving whiskey dinner... Ever wonder what a backseat was? Or what’s the difference between a Pot Still & a Coffey Still? Get to know tasting terms and barley types and find out what exactly is the “Angels Share”. Taste and learn about Canadian Whiskeys and Whiskey Cocktails in a fun filled 4 hours. No whiskey experience would be complete without mixing in a bit of drink history and tales of prohibition era Toronto. You will be well fed and happily hydrated by the end of the night. Whether you are a whiskey novice or a malt master, this tour is a perfect blend of modern and old school. Quay Weekend Warrior Sunglasses - These frames are sweetass and won't break the bank. They'd be flattering on most faces, and the green-tinted lenses suit every skin tone. I secretly want to buy them for Azim...and then steal them :)Vinyl Turntable - One of my besties thoughtfully picked up a record for me recently - one of my favourite albums by the Arctic Monkeys - I can't believe he remembered! My dad has turntables, and I grew up listening to his awesome collection of records. You can buy turntables at a variety of pricepoints these days, but this one by Fluance looks modern and elegant and cooool.Hook & Albert Travel Bag - This is the ULTIMATE travel bag. Click on the link to see how the bag unfurls to be the perfect garment bag, with shoe pockets as well. A must-have for the dapper jetsetter in your life! All bags meet international carry-on requirements.Elemis Grooming Essentials - Elemis is a fairly luxe skincare brand, so likely it's the kind of gift your bud/bae wouldn't treat himself to. Wrap a bow around this travel set and you can check it right off your list!Down the Hatch Flask - Everyone needs a flask. Even if you're not partial to alcoholic refreshments, you still need to hydrate, and I can see this being the perfect vessel for cream soda or ginger beer ;) I have gotten a lot of use out of my own flask (small, dainty, with a floral pattern, that fits in all my handbags) and know this would make a great gift for anyone who needs to sneak in a tipple at the annual family Kris Kringle (no...I don't know anyone who has done that before...). But seriously, drink responsibly. The Kinfolk Entrepreneur - this book looks like a great read for anyone interested in business or self-made successes. Blurb:The Kinfolk Entrepreneur introduces readers to 40 creative business owners around the globe, offering an inspiring, in-depth look behind the scenes of their lives and their companies. Pairing insightful interviews with striking images of these men and women and their workspaces, The Kinfolk Entrepreneur makes business personal. Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker - I loooove singing in the shower - who doesn't? Whether you play 70s rock, smooth jazz, spa tones, or your podcasts, this little speaker makes bathtime even more delightful.Thank you so much for reading! I'd love to hear your ideas below in the comments! xo
