Bizness

Some women find pencil skirts very easy to wear, but they've always been a struggle for me. You have to find the right length, they have to be the right material so they don't ride up, and how do you wear them if you have a food baby? A-Line skirts are my friend. But once in awhile I like to break out a pencil skirt, to show I really mean business. I love the lace overlay of this one - it really is more of a mini with a longer layer to disguise it. That, to me, is subtle sexiness. I almost always pair it with a soft blazer, so I can maintain some level of comfiness.BiznessBiznessLet's talk about how awkward it is to take outfit photos in public. People walk by and stare...and stare...and stare. They wonder "oh who is that!!", and then "oh who does she think SHE is?". I mean, they probably wonder that. That's what I think they're probably wondering, and then it distracts me from taking the photos, and then I look like this. Yeeeaaaahhh. This was one of the main deterrents for me, before I started my blog. I am so happy I sucked it up and did it anyway, but I still struggle when the time comes to take photos. I personally think it shows in some sets (like this one!), and I also only have a few places where I like to shoot because of the complete lack of people walking around. I'm going to try and work through it and be more adventurous with my photos, but MAN is it ever awkward.BiznessBiznessBlazer - Aritzia / Scarf worn as top - J.Crew / Pencil skirt - Mendocino / Shoes - Zara / Clutch - Asos / Lippie - Clinique "Two Ton Tomato"
