Merry Basics

Oh, how I love the holidays! In years past I'd go all out with a tulle skirt, gold makeup, sparkly shoes, and glitter everywhere! More glitter = more festive. Duh! :) I swear I still find glitter pieces stuck in my hair and in my nailbeds months after the season ends.However, this year (although I was feeling just as Christmassy as always) I opted for a more muted merry outfit. We didn't have a White Christmas, for which I am thankful (Shovelling? Nope!) And I dressed appropriately for the weather, forgoing a coat in favour of a cozy sweater-cape.I chose luxurious basics, like these python Burberry pumps and my trusty black and gold watch. A bold red lip stood out against my outfit's cream and black tones, and added that extra bit of festive cheer. These Armani lip velvets are so low maintenance and easy to wear!I craved comfort and relaxation for Christmas this year, and I think that was reflected in my sartorial choices. Next up is New Year's Eve...we'll see if I'm ready to get dolled up then :)Lots of love to you all!
