Spring Preview

IMG_2331-1IMG_2343-5I love visiting Allan Gardens in the winter. The greenhouse is always lush and warm - an incredible contrast to the stark landscape outside. After weeks of cold-weather outfits, I thought it would be refreshing to share a little preview of what's to come in spring! More colours, lighter materials, less layering.I've had this pink trench coat for SO long! I think I was 17 when I bought it! I've always loved statement pieces, and this one has served me well. I think the colour combination is fun and unexpected with my multicoloured striped top, and powder blue shoes. I added one more pattern to the mix with my printed side satchel; I actually had a harder time pairing the outfit with a more neutral bag! My mind works in colour clashes and mixed patterns :)IMG_2337-2IMG_2341-4IMG_2339-3IMG_2348-7One thing I would swap out from this outfit would be my jeans. I do love these Citizens of Humanity Avedon skinnies (I have multiple pairs in different washes, because nothing fits me better!!), but I'm still on the hunt for good boyfriend/mom jeans. I'm hesitant to purchase the pair from Asos that I've been eyeing, because I think it would be better to try on this particular style of pant before buying. If you have any recommendations for these, let me know! I might just have to make a trip down to the newly opened Saks ;)IMG_2356-9IMG_2352-8IMG_2345-6I managed to catch the flu that's been going around, and it's AWFUL. I'm just like a man when I'm sick, I throw myself a pity party and absolutely cannot function. I am congested, I have a fever, and I'm sweating but freezing cold at the same time! I'm taking Advil + ColdFX and washing it down with Buckley's, so let's hope I kick it for good over the next couple of days. For now, I'm signing off and wishing you all a good week ahead!Trench - bebe / Shirt - J.Crew / Jeans - Citizens of Humanity / Bag - Banana Republic / Shoes - Zara
