Red, White, and Blue
Bonjour!I am really feeling the French girl vibes lately...maybe because Azim and I are getting ready for our upcoming trip to France! I may have mentioned before that Azim lucked out with Eurocup semifinal tickets :) we planned our trip right away, and now we're starting to visualize the details. Riding bikes down cobblestone streets, eating baguette and soft cheeses for lunch, strolling past beautiful statues, eating more baguettes...On to the outfit! As you can see, I picked up almost everything in my "What's in My Shopping Cart?" post:
- Boyfriend/mom jeans, check
- Adorably striped tee, check
- Wayfarer/cat-eye sunglasses, check
- and I'm not wearing the tan purse, but I did pick up a couple from Banana during their Friends and Family sale! Including this gorgeous blue one.
I ended up getting the perfect boyfriend/mom jeans from Levi's. The "501" style is a classic, and I don't know why I hadn't thought of them first! The magic is in the fact that they're 100% cotton - very different than all of the "jegging" type elasticy jeans that have been in lately. I also went one size up from what I usually wear to get that lived-in look. I absolutely love them.I managed to score the striped tee on sale, woohoo! I already own a lot of stripes, but this tee stands out because of the alternating red and blue. Most of my stripes are black or navy, so this is refreshing. It's also borderline kitschy, so if I throw on a beret and some ballet flats I'll probably feel like I'm in costume ;)Let's talk about the accessories. Omg, this bag! I am contemplating getting the other colours because it is just SUCH a great piece for a bargain price (if you use a promo code, or wait for a special sale). The blue is incredibly rich, and the suede feels perfect. The hardware is shiny and heavy, so it feels luxurious. I also love the compartments - there are two, with card slots as well. I can fit my phone, keys, lipsticks, and even my kobo. Win!And these shoes? These actually might be the pair I wear down the aisle. If I were a shoe, this pair would be me.Happy Monday! The next outfit I post will be from Montreal :) We are leaving on Thursday, so please send your recommendations! Azim is playing in a soccer tournament so I will have some time alone - any advice for how to spend a day in Montreal will be greatly appreciated xoxoJacket - Zara / Shirt - J.Crew / Jeans - Levi's 501 CT / Bag - Banana Republic / Shoes - SJP for Nordstrom / Sunglasses - Tom Ford
