Pastel Pink
I'm back with another outfit featuring cool shoes + a sweet jacket. Last week's choices were bold, but this week I opted for softer, subtler neutrals. Well, as soft and subtle as I'll ever get - I like pink and I like glitter! We're in that weird weather transition phase where it's warm enough to show some ankle, but cool enough to wear a turtleneck. Actually, I'd like to wear a turtleneck on any occasion, and it's always with great reluctance when I have to store them away to make room for my summer wardrobe. :(I absolutely love these teardrop earrings. They're the exact "statement" piece I like to add to casual outfits like this, one to add that little something extra. Leave it to J.Crew to nail it every time with their accessories! The gem is sort of a rosegold colour, and it's inlaid in a sparkly silver (plastic, I'm sure) setting. SO cool, and so much fun!I have been going through some big life changes lately, which I hope I can share soon! In the meantime, I'll leave you with another bullet-point life update:
- Azim and I have slowly been adding to our France trip itinerary. We had a few days free between the Loire Valley and Lyon, and we just decided to add in Burgundy. It's one part of France that I have never visited before, and I am THRILLED. I've checked books out of the library to do more research!! #nerdlife
- Azim is excited to rent a car and drive around France - the only problem being that the better rates are for manual cars. And we only know how to drive automatic. He seriously thinks he can learn manual before we leave (in June)! Too bad my darling Linda isn't here to give him lessons :)
- To add to the French theme, Azim took me to Café Boulud to try their epic brunch. Wow. Words cannot describe. I consumed enough cheese to sustain the caloric requirements of a small village.
- Not so worried about the feasting though, because I am OBSESSED with my new Fitbit Blaze! It is super motivating, and has completely changed how active I am. I haven't worked out this much since I was in high school! I'll write a review after I use it for at least a few months, to see if it's just a phase I'm going through. Like being really into Shonda Rhimes, or pretending to care about the stock market.
- I've been listening to Beyonce's Lemonade on repeat. Do you think Bey and Jay-Z are happily married, and this album is all an elaborate stunt to build up hype and buzz? Or is Jay-Z really the piece of sh** she's making him out to be? Why do I/we even care?
