Star-Studded Beauties
Contrary to what you might think, I DO dress appropriately when it comes to participating in outdoor activities. Although I aspire to slay like a fashion queen, I believe my shoes are just too cute to ruin in the mud.Azim and I took these pictures near a popular trail in uptown Toronto, but only because it was the most scenic area in the vicinity – it can be really difficult to take blog pictures in the ‘burbs!Don’t worry; I didn’t actually do any hiking in these beautiful satin coral pumps. We stepped from the car to this bridge and back…but every time my heel sank between stones or planks my heart died a little.Pleated skirts are absolutely flooding the shops right now, and I’ve mentioned before that they’re such a staple piece for me. I bought my first one when I was going to meet Azim’s family in Orlando for the first time, for a wedding! I wanted to 1) stay cool in the heat 2) dress demurely 3) still look cute. I keep going back to this silhouette time and time again.I think I’ll get a lot of use out of tie-waist tank from Aritzia. It’s a gorgeous, comfortable drapey material, which is perfect for long days/dinners out. It’s also slightly cropped and works well for my short torso. I don’t wear tanks often, but I like the high neckline on this one – so elegant!I’ll finish off with the shoes – my show stopping, star-studded beauties. These babies never fail to turn heads. From afar they look like pretty pink shoes – lovely, but nothing TOO special. Up close though, you can see the jewelled star pattern all over. Very Miu Miu-esque, but at a J.Crew price ;)J.Crew shoes are SO awesome. They’re crafted in Italy, always beautiful, and quite affordable as well. Especially if you catch a good sale.Hope you’re all having a lovely week! Thanks for reading! Xox
