Outfit Drop - Museum Hopping

I was flipping through my O magazine recently, and realized I have a habit of skipping to the Style section first to check out the outfit combinations, before going back to read the rest of the articles.

I don't subscribe to any fashion magazines anymore, but my favourite part of those used to be the spreads with outfit ideas. More so than the editorial shoots, and trend updates, I found the pages of outfit combinations to be the most inspirational. The best ones were curated in a way that made me look at a clothing item and see it in a brand new light. I think it was the hours I spent flipping through those pages that ignited my love for clashing patterns, rich textures, and of course, designer shoes.

I often create outfit combinations in my notebooks at home, but I thought it could be a fun feature for the blog. I love doing this in my free time, often when the seasons are changing. It might also be a nice insight for you to see what my fashion sense is like, since I post outfit shoots more infrequently these days. My style might be (probably is) very different to yours, but I hope you find it interesting at least :)

Starting off this series with a look I'm calling "museum hopping" - it's the perfect outfit to wear when you're jetting from the ROM to the AGO, or the Tate Modern to the V&A.

Comfortable shoes with a bit of height elevate the look (literally), while allowing for hours of wandering through exhibits. A cape and collared, sleeveless shirt is a classy and fun way to layer, and the jeans keep the vibe casual.

Don't forget to accessorize with gold hoops, a geometric bag, a fun pin, and modern makeup. A spritz of Chanel and you're good to go, honey.
