Walkin' Cross the Campus
This outfit made me feel all the back-to-school vibes, and it wasn't just because we shot these photos at the University of Michigan Law Quad.
The combination of a collared shirt and navy blazer looks so collegiate to me, especially when paired with a satchel like mine. Cue to me humming Vampire Weekend as we walked around :)
These days you'll find more hoodies and leggings on campus, but an easy way to feel well-dressed without a lot of effort, is to throw on a blazer. T-shirts work well underneath, but a collared shirt will take you places.
To look a little less like I was going to my first job interview, I added distressed denim, sneakers, and my funky Fendi sunglasses.
And don't forget the details - I know it's minor, but I don't think this outfit would be complete without my leather strap watch, and belt.
A quick tip to get your proportions right when wearing a menswear inspired blazer: ensure your belt lines up with the button/closure of your blazer. I think cropped jackets suit my body type much better, but I enjoy a longer blazer every once in awhile. When I wear one, I keep this tip in mind for a proportioned and polished look.
I have another outfit post coming up with this blazer and another pair of jeans, which looks COMPLETELY different! Don't believe me? Stay tuned :)
