Raspberry Beret

This gorgeous beret is more of a fire engine red than a raspberry red, but I wanted a clever blog post title :)

I usually like to match my beret to my winter topper, but sometimes a stark contrast is a better look. The muted beige tones throughout my coat, sweater, belt bag, and boots are a great canvas for my shocking red beret. A nice bright look for a gloomy grey day.

This faux snakeskin belt bag is one of my favourite accessories because it pairs well with many outfits, and also allows me to go hands-free - perfect for running errands on the weekend.

The one downside of wearing it under my coat, is the awkward bulge once buttoned up. I could have worn it over my coat, but truth be told I just don't like the fuss of having to do and undo the belt and buttons *shrug*.

Azim took these pictures when he was visiting back in November. We went to Gerrard Street for brunch, and to take some outfit photos in front of the gorgeous street art. Imagine our disappointment when Azim realized he didn't bring his SD card for the camera.

So these photos were snapped and edited on my iPhone! What do you think? We've come a looong way from grainy mirror selfies :)
