The Bluffs
Let’s take it all the way to the East end for this part of my Toronto series. You think the only waterfront worth visiting is Woodbine Beach or The Harbourfront at Lakeshore? No way! The Bluffs are an incredibly scenic part of the city, with stunning views of Lake Ontario. If you’re not from the East end of the city, it’s probably easiest to drive to The Bluffs (parking is available). You can walk along the cliffs, or through Bluffers Park Marina, and visit Bluffers Restaurant. I actually prefer packing a picnic and finding a great view. It’s more peaceful than The Harbourfront downtown, and often not as busy as Woodbine Beach (although some weekends can get pretty packed). You really do feel like you’ve left the city for a little getaway.
