Pink and Purple and Red and Turquoise

Dressing for colder weather doesn't automatically mean having to wear the same black coat over and over. This outfit is the perfect example of that! I took a very basic outfit - skirt, jacket, and ballet flats - and made sure each piece was able to stand out on its own. I added a matching hat, and contrasting side satchel to finish it off. This turned out to be the perfect ensemble to wear while walking around UofT campus. The University of Toronto has so many beautiful old buildings, and at this time of the year all the ivy has turned a beautiful shade of orange - the ideal background for this colourful outfit!Autumn Colourblocking Autumn Colourblocking Autumn ColourblockingAnd it's pretty obvious from this post, but yes I did take advantage of Kate Spade's Friends and Family sale to spring for this pom pom hat. How could I resist? It was calling my name :)Autumn Colourblocking Autumn Colourblocking Autumn ColourblockingThis weekend I also:

  • Finished the new Robert Galbraith novel - Career of Evil. I absolutely love the Cormoran Strike series! I was so addicted to this latest addition that I downloaded the audiobook so I could continue the story even as I painted my nails.
  • Went to see Sicario. It was very good, but a little too graphic for me. Emily Blunt did an incredible job.
  • Avoided Facebook - it was basically 48 hours of Halloween selfies!

Have a great week! xoxJacket - Vintage / Skirt - J.Crew / Sweater - Banana Republic / Flats - Nordstrom Rack / Hat - Kate Spade / Satchel - Danier
