Winter Uniform

The UniformI think it's absolutely imperative to have a seasonal uniform, or "go-to" outfit. There are some days when I don't want to think about what I'm going to wear at all, when any effort required is much too much, and yet I still have to look respectably put-together. It is on these days that I pull out my uniform. The UniformThis past summer, it was this. For winter, I have a new formula. They key is to stay warm and comfortable, while maintaining a chic silhouette:Classic (camel) coat + flattering scarf + something leopard/vintage (or both) + sunglasses = bring it on, December! The Uniform Of course, I won't be able to wear cute little shoes for much longer. Nor will a simple wool coat be enough once the snow hits. But don't you worry, I'll have a new formula for you once January rolls around ;)The UniformOne more thing - sunnies are a must! They are not just for summertime! I rarely used to wear sunglasses in the winter, and that was a big mistake. Sunglasses protect your eyes from stark winter light, they hide your hibernation dark circles, and they just look so chic with a turned up coat collar. The Uniform The UniformHave a wonderful rest of your week xoCoat - H&M / Scarf (silk-wool blend) - Lord and Taylor / Jeans - Gap / Shirt - J.Crew / Bag- Vintage / Watch - Titan / Shoes - J.Crew Factory / Sunnies - Karen Walker / Earrings - J.Crew / Lippie - Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Pink Venus / Nail Colour - "Publicist on Speed Dial" by Trust Fund Beauty (new fav!)
