Waistcoat

Vest, jacket waistcoat, whatever you want to call it, I'm a fan. I don't know how to explain it but when you wear it as a three-piece - with a blazer and tie - you look and feel like royalty.IMG_1241-7 The waistcoat is definitely an affordable upgrade and I've noticed that a lot of men are rethinking the way they layer up. In today's OOTD, I have it underneath this wool blazer; tomorrow I might be rocking it under a shawl cardigan.IMG_1217-2What do you think about this paisley tie and cutaway collared shirt?IMG_1247-8IMG_1228-3Another plus with waistcoats is that they tend to flatten your gut and hide those wrinkles you forgot to iron out. The lining of the back in the waistcoat is also important, so select one carefully. Just an FYI, I'm wearing a sz. 40 here.IMG_1253-9IMG_1232-4IMG_1256-10 I also opted for these old loafers I got from Cole Haan a while back. Cole Haan's shoe collaboration with Men's designer, Todd Snyder. Check out the link below. They know what's up...IMG_1234-5 The beauty of waistcoats is that they have the ability to really accentuate or disguise certain aspects of your figure while still keeping you looking fresh.IMG_1237-6This is what I look like from behind and below is what I look when my posing game is strong :)IMG_1209-1We took these photos just a few days ago, but it looks like winter is finally here. Toronto had its first snow storm yesterday :( and driving down the DVP was a mess last night!Be safe everyone, and enjoy what's left of the holidays!'till next time,A. Blazer, Tie and Pants - J.Crew / Waistcoat - Vintage / Shirt - ASOS / Shoes - Cole Haan
