New Year's Eve

NYENYEWould you believe me if I told you I took these pictures just a week ago?Yes, a week ago I was outside wearing short sleeves and pastel-coloured suede heels. I was really looking forward to rocking this outfit on New Year's Eve (with the addition of a fur stole, perhaps) - and now the only chance of that happening is if I board a plane down to sunnier landscapes, or if the snow spontaneously melts. Fat chance. But that's Toronto weather for you! Unpredictable at best, and I really shouldn't complain. We've had a mild winter so far, and I think I've made the most of it with all my parka-less outfits! Over the next few months I'll have to rise to the challenge of dressing well AND staying warm :)NYEFor those of you from warmer climates, perhaps you can find inspiration in my would-be New Year's Eve outfit! I opted for a little sparkle with my jeweled crop top, and added some drama by pairing it with awesome wide-leg pants. I looove wide-leg pants! They just can't be ignored because they're such an unusual silhouette, and they can be quite tricky to wear (although surprising comfortable). If you know me well, you know I'll always pick over-the-top over ordinary any day of the week. And on New Year's? The bigger the better.NYENYEI added blue suede shoes and a bold lip to pull the outfit together, and my statement earrings and clutch made the look feel complete. This clutch holds a very special place in my wardrobe, as it was a beautiful gift given to me by my BFF - and her mom helped to pick it out! Thank you Almas aunty <3NYEHappy New Year to all of you lovely friends! I wish you all the best in 2016!! Health, happiness, peace, comfort, love, lottery winnings, for the Leafs to win something, etc. ;) xoxoxNYETop - H&M / Pants - Banana Republic / Shoes - Zara / Clutch - Aldo / Earrings - Vintage / Cuff - Vintage
