Camel + Collar
Guys, I think this is my favourite outfit that I've posted so far! It was so easy and comfortable to wear, and I felt instantly pulled together with my starched collar and camel coat. I'll let you in on a secret - the collar comes attached to the sweater. I don't know why I don't own more of these revolutionary sweater-shirt numbers. They are amazing! They look layered, without any of the extra bulk. I bought this one at Club Monaco without trying it on, and I think I really scored.
I've been getting a lot of love out of this camel coat this season, but I think next year I'm going to change it up by swapping out the buttons. For now, the brown buttons pair well with the gorgeous burgundy of this vachetta leather bag. The bag is from Banana Republic - I couldn't believe it!! I mentioned the bucket bag in my "What's in My Shopping Cart" post (and I might still get that one too :) ) but I ultimately chose this one for its colour and useful shape/size.
You may have noticed that I posted a little less often last week (although Azim has been killing it with our Instagram game, give us a follow if you'd like :) ), and that was because I was completely knocked down by the flu. I've never been sick like this before! I felt like I'd hit a wall for two weeks, and unfortunately they were the busiest two weeks I've had at work so far. I had a sales conference to attend, and also made it down to Ellicottville in New York state for a ski trip event. Nuts!!I was also lucky enough to see The Who for the second time - Thanks, Auntie Anne!! - and they are the definition of badass. I felt silly sitting there coughing up a lung, while they were totally rocking out at the ripe age of 72. 72! Anyway, I finally got some much needed rest this weekend, and am trying to kick the last of this cold in the butt.
I'd also like to get a little personal and sentimental here for a second, and say a HUGE congratulations to my little brother. He received interview offers for med school at the University of Ottawa, McMaster, and the University of Toronto!! I am SUCH a PROUD older sister right now!!! I want to tell the whole world! Trav, you worked so hard to get to where you are, and we are all so happy for you. You deserve all the success in the world.
