Hello, September

1-3

2-2

September feels more like new beginnings than January ever will. Goodbye wrinkly linen and uncouth shorts. Gone are the days of simple outfits, as we welcome LAYERS and embellishment once more! Can you tell that autumn is my favourite season?

We aren't quite there yet, but I'm trying out some "transition" pieces as I wait for crisp air and crunchy leaves. After months of being too sticky and hot to wear more than a tee-shirt, I finally broke out the layered shirts. In this case, it's one shirt that has the illusion of being layered. I've worn a similar top before, and I still believe they are a genius way of adding something extra to any outfit.

It's still too warm for ankle boots (but I've got my eye on a few!), so I opted for some mules. Specifically my super-fun crystal-studded mules :) The silhouette of this shoe works well with the cropped length of my denim, and although they are simple I think they're an unexpected choice for this ensemble.

I'm surprised by how often I reach for this statement blue suede bag. Others are always surprised when I tell them it's from Banana Republic! You might tire of seeing it here on the blog, but the honest truth is that I wear it often because I love it. It's the perfect size for my keys, wallet, phone, and lipstick - plus it can be worn as a clutch or side bag. It's a classic shape, with no visible logos and that, for me, is timeless.

7-4

It feels great to be back on the blog! Azim and I took a little break after we had a whirlwind trip around France. He ended up leaving for Dubai directly after, and I've gone through a few big changes in my personal life which took up all my energy. We're back now, and refreshed :) I'll be sharing a few of my recent experiences on the blog, and have lots of outfits planned for the future!
