White After Labour Day

img_4947-1Signs of Fall:

  • PSLs are back at Starbucks
  • Fashion Weeks
  • I can walk to work and arrive without looking like a hot (sweaty) mess

img_4955-3Although dressing for autumn is the best, there are still a few pieces from my summer wardrobe that I like to hang on to year-round. For instance, this beautiful fit and flare skirt from Club Monaco <3 In winter, the obvious way to wear it is by sticking some tights underneath, but the transitional weather in autumn allows a little more room for creativity.img_4959-5img_4949-2I decided to pair it with a thin, grey turtleneck, and opted to keep my legs bare. Turtlenecks are the PERFECT canvas for splashy jewellery. I know that for some, statement necklaces are a fad, but for me? More is more!img_4958-4So many shoes would go with this outfit - ballet flats, round toe pumps, maryjanes, strappy sandals,  or even masculine brogues! I decided to go with a simple pair of low heels to maximize walkability (yes, that's a word), and keep the attention on the skirt. I love the little tassels on these shoes, and of course the pale pink is my favourite colour.img_4976-7So here's to white after Labour Day! I'm dreaming about my alabaster Missoni wool coat, my snowy fox fur collar, and creamy cable knit sweaters...img_4972-6xox
